SCREENING FOR TUBERCULOSIS DISEASE AMONG CHILDREN: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Introduction : One of the top 10 causes death worldwide is tuberculosis (TB). An estimated million new cases TB, including 1.2 in children, were reported 2019. Due to symptoms pediatric (TB) being similar those other juvenile illnesses and difficulty obtaining lung samples due children's propensity swallow sputum, diagnosing TB challenging. Methods This systematic review's objective was find reliable screening techniques for paediatric diagnosis. The Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Web Science databases all searched accordance with PRISMA standards.The words "screening" "(Tuberculosis) OR (TB)" "(Children")" used. Result investigation covered a total five studies. TST IGRA are recommended by Food Drug Administration (FDA) Centers Disease Control Prevention (CDC) as M. infection, certain preferences considerations. For testing children younger than 5 years old, preferred over IGRA. Conclusion :Testing BCG recipients (either therapy or vaccine) patients subpar findings be done IGRAs.
